The DesignAlternative feature enables the user to plan and simulate network modifications and extensions without affecting network documentation.
A DesignAlternative can be created for an entire project or just a small section of the network. It’s even possible to create multiple versions and then select the most appropriate based on criteria such as cost comparison and/or technical results.
With the optimal plan chosen the technicians can set about making the necessary modifications to the network. Of course they have full information regarding the location of components as well as engineering detail such as expected levels at test points.
When the build is completed the DesignAlternative can be simply merged into the current documentation.
